PHYSIOTHERAPY AT BCH
Healthcare

The physiotherapy room in the old wing of the well-known Breach Candy Hospital, had a row of white hospital cabinetry blocking the access to a soothing sea view. The physiotherapy staff were clamoring for more space and equipment needed to aid patient recovery. Opening up the sea facing vista, bringing in natural light and views to beautiful old trees, lent to an atmosphere of healing and wellness. Soft box lighting and a bright yellow track with measured steps allows patients to walk around and gauge their progress. The therapy rooms are cozy and quiet, the walls are decorated with cheerful art depicting patients, doctors and the assisting staff. There are also life-sized anatomical drawings on the wall with markers for the staff to point at, and help patients understand their own bodies. The space is uplifting, encouraging and hopeful.
