At an old property in Alibagh, surrounded by trees and hills, a swimming pool, and an entire floor were added to the house. Glass facades brought the surrounding greenery into the home. Custom-made furniture was layered with rich handcrafted detail - linen, leather, rattan, and cane paired with hand knotted rugs, giant antique urns and a specially designed entrance chandelier inspired by the hanging “Alibagh onions”. Downstairs, a specially created long bar with ceramic tiles divides the indoors and the outdoors, making it accessible from all sides. The upstairs was entirely focused on the green and peaceful exterior views, with a light and neutral palette, soft comfortable seating, chunky slices of wood as center tables. A bespoke chandelier created out of old family books tumbling downwards makes for a special reading area below it. Bedrooms with Naga hand-crafted linen and art objects complete the living experience.
