WALL OF GRATITUDE
Community Service

In the initial weeks of the Covid 19 lockdown, there was a new set of warriors that touched every human life, amidst the strict protocols which accompanied the grave pandemic. They varied from high level doctors and police officers to the lesser known delivery boys or the humble street cleaners. Barely 50 days into the lockdown, the RPG group offered the entire visible facade of their building, the Ceat Mahal, (a heritage building on the arterial road of midtown Mumbai) to create a mural to honour covid warriors to go beyond their call of duty during such hard times with a public service mesage. Sameer Kulavoor and his team of artists were immediately willing to brave the pandemic, and take on the mammoth task of handpainting 10,000 square feet at heights of 120 ft to express their heartfelt thanks to the worriors in the city of Mumbai. It was challenging for everyone involved, espeically as all essential services were unavailable, and disallowed for the first 3 months. Apart from many other ctritical servcies that RPG assisted with to alleviate the society with the pressing needs of the time, the reward of saying a public thank you to the city is immeasurable.
